The obelisk pictured is in memorial to Junius Brutus Booth, Sr. His son, John Wilkes Booth, is buried in an unmarked grave behind the obelisk. John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Abraham Lincoln, April 14, 1865, before dying of a gun shot wound 12 days later. The photograph on a post card was taken by C.B.
