Miami County Courthouse

This image shows the side facade of the Miami County Courthouse. This Beaux-Arts structure was built during a time in which counties often competed to create the most beautiful and architecturally distinct building for their courthouses. The building served as self-affirmation and was often the focal point of the county seat. The Miami County Courthouse has a colonnade of Corinthian columns, a cast-iron dome, and six copper statues on its roof
