The articles of incorporation Ohio Historical and Archeological Society document the formation of the society in Columbus, Ohio on March 12, 1885. The mission of the society was the "promotion of Knowledge of Archeology and History, especially of Ohio, by establishing and maintaining a library of books, manuscripts, maps, charts, etc." The articles of incorporation are two pages and measure 10.25" x 17.5" (26.04 cm x 44.45 cm).
