Union Cemetery is located at 1720 West Market Street and is comprised of 121 acres of land, much of which was still covered with timber in the 1930s and 40s. Among those buried here are three of the 'Fighting McCooks' of Civil War fame: General Anson McCook, Colonel George McCook, and Captain Francis McCook, grandfather of Woodrow Wilson; and the Edwin M. Stanton family
