Located 643 Oak St., in the northern suburbs, the 1910 Georgian revival building housed the Cincinnati Woman's Club. Among many organizations inspired by the 1892 Columbian Exposition, the Club was dedicated in 1894 "to high civic and artistic purposes." Its first home was the Perin building, NWC Fifth and Race Sts., downtown Cincinnati [demolished]. In the early part of the 20th century, the Club advocated for public health and child labor laws. From 1910 to 1966, the Club occupied the building here depicted; it was demolished to make way for Interstate 71, and the Club moved to larger quarters at 330 Lafayette Avenue in Clifton.
