Butler, Wheaton & Jackson letter to Thomas Rotch, Providence August 14th 1794

This letter discusses sale of candles and 3 casks of glass tumblers. The firm reports that they have sold 30 boxes of sperm candles, they hope the rest will sell as the fall of the year is the best time for selling candles, but there is no indication that they will sell at a higher price. Butler and company kept the glass tumblers for some time, and with much advertisement, sold all and could have sold more if they had them on hand.
