In this letter, the last of three to Charity Rotch dated within two weeks of her own death, her sister Anna Hazard tells her to expect a package of bugleweed, an herbal remedy that might provide some relief from Charity's complaints associated with possible heart failure. Besides providing news of family and friends, Hazard states that a doctor from Kendal visiting in their area reported that Charity had "lost flesh" and appeared "feeble" Charity died on August 6, 1824, she is buried in the old Quaker cemetery on Seneca Street in Massillon, Ohio.
