Letter from Stonewall Columbus to community leaders, inviting them to the raising of a rainbow flag at the Statehouse in Columbus as well as other Pride-related events. The letter is written by Jeff Redfield, Executive Director of Stonewall Columbus. The flag-raising was the first of its kind in Ohio, and commemorated the 30th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, in Greenwich Village, New York City. Columbus held its first annual Pride Parade in 1981, with only 200 attendees. Columbus Pride now includes a parade, festival, 5K run and more, and has an estimated half a million attendees
