Many people who suffer from depression intensify already existing symptoms by not taking time to participate in the mindfulness of their own body, emotions and thoughts. Commonly, most people do not realize what actions constitute mindfulness. Within many urban communities, mental health professionals are not accessible to those seeking care due to cost, access, and convenience. The aim of this study is to investigate how Mindfulness Based Coping is perceived, how it is utilized, and whether it is negatively associated with depressive symptoms.
