Organic food and wellness

The research will contribute to the field of psychology by exploring the relationship between organic food and overall health. The research will investigate the question, are people who eat organic food healthier and do they feel healthier? Organic food is the process of using organic food growing techniques prioritize the use of naturally occurring biological processes instead of artificially created processes that use manipulation of manmade products such as, agrochemicals (Krebs, 2003). Organic food has been researched to show positive effects for specific health benefits but there is a paucity of research about quality of food making people feel healthier. Studies have shown that children who incorporated organic food into their diet were shown to have less allergies and lower body weight compared to a group that had a diet without organic food (Huber, Rembiałkowska, Średnicka, Bügel, & Van De Vijver, 2011). Hypotheses: The First hypothesis, is that participants who have high organic food intake will have a higher health wellness scores and those with lower organic food intake will have lower food consumption scores. The second hypothesis, is that participants who are in the acceptable range for food consumption will have higher wellness scores compared to people who scored in poor range for food consumption score
