The dataset provides information on the number of parliamentary questions (PQs) tabled in the German Bundestag between 1980 and 2017. It contains party-portfolio dyads and gives information on the number of oral and written PQs that government parties submitted to a ministry in a single legislative period. In addition, the dataset provides several party- and cabinet-specific variables (e.g. issue salience, policy positions) for systematic analyses of questioning behavior in the German Bundestag
