This study examined the personalities of a group of college women and their interactions with social institutions. The focus was on the relationship between the changes in values and ideas brought about by the women's movement and the personal development of young women. Participants were 30 seniors at Brandeis University selected in 1975 from the population of white senior women who were not receiving financial aid from the university. A range of academic concentrations were represented in the sample. An initial questionnaire sought information about the women's backgrounds.
