Temporal gazetteer of (populated) places existing in the Spanish American possessions, 1701-1808. Tracks information on church status (parishes, mission centers and corresponding religious order), settlement type/regime (City, Town, Indian "village", Spanish "village", rural settlement, fort), geometry, names (variants, changing names), geometry over time. Chronology may go back to before 1701 for some places, but information before that date is not meant to be complete
