Background The National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS)collects data on injury prevalence related to different types of consumer products. The NEISS is maintained by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. The NEISS collects information from a certain number of hospitals in a region to estimate prevalences for the entire region.
