In order to compare the performance increase in occupancy detection by adding one sensor, a room was outfitted with a motion, temperature, carbon dioxide, light, and a humidity sensor. Opening and closing of the door is monitored, as well as the connection of the smartphone of the occupant with the local WiFi network. Finally, the distance to home of the smartphone of the occupant was also logged in 5 minute intervals. A ground truth was collected using the input of the occupant
