Autoimmune polyglandular syndrome type 1 (APS 1) is a rare disease about autosomalrecessivetype of inheritance. There are conditions necessary for the diagnosis of APS 1 — itis the occurrence of 2 of the 3 main components: hypoparathyroidism, adrenal insufficiency,mucosal and/or skin candidiasis. APS 1 may be accompanied by other autoimmune diseasesof the endocrine glands, gastrointestinal tract, skin and humor al and cellular immunity defi -ciencies.
