Lipid disorders are one of the key elements of the complex pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and its clinical consequences, such as coronary heart disease and stroke. Invariably, they are a leading cause of death in adult populations of many countries. At the moment are two groups of hyperlipidemia, primary and secondary. The most frequent secondary hyperlipdemia, due to lifestyle and associated liver disease, kidney disease, endocrine disorders or drugs.
