Heart failure (HF) is a chronic syndrome regarded as one of the most important challengesto be faced by clinicians in everyday practice, both during hospitalizations and in ambulatory care. HF is often described as an epidemic of the 21st century. In recent yearsa constant rise in morbidity has been obser ved. HF is associated with increased socialburden, has negative impact on quality of life and leads to poor prognosis both in short anddistant perspective.
