Introduction. There is a significant co-morbidity of somatic and mental disorders in patients treated by family doctors and other specialists. Material and methods. The group of patients diagnosed according to ICD-10 as ,,neurotic, connected with stress and somatoform disorders” were investigated at Neurotic Ward at Medical University in Gdańsk in 2000-2003. Number of patients: 117. Average age: 39.9 ± 11.0 years. Women: 90 (76.9%), average age: 40.9 ± 10.8 years. Men: 27 (23.1%), average age: 36.2 ± 10.9 years. Results. The comorbid somatic disorders occured in 57 patients (48.1%).
