Postawy studentów położnictwa wobec zasad korzystania z solarium

Introduction. Fashion in tan through various vicissitudes. Material and methods. The study included 80 students of midwifery, we used own questionnaire consisted of 36 questions. The aim of the study. The assessment of student midwifery knowledge on rules of a solarium using and side effects. Results. Almost 47.5% of students attended a solarium several times a year. The first visit in the solarium was a self decision of 67.5% responders. In the solarium, they used mostly sunbeds (57,5%). In an opinion of the surveyed, solarium workers were conscientious, and they gave information about safe using the solarium. All students reported that the staff cleaned the sunbeds, almost 91.3% could use oneoff towels, 66.3% used cosmetics, and 92.5% used protective goggles. Nearly 77.5% of responders did not know term „skin phototype”, and 85% did know number of skin phototype. In the opinion of 48.6% of students skin phototype has an effect on duration of the first visit in the solarium. Nearly, 44.2% of surveyed said that the first visit solarium should not to be longer than 5 minutes. Almost 92.5% of responders knew that daily sunburning in the solarium is not allowed. The rules of the following visits in the solarium knew 51.7% of them. Most of the students 66.3% said that sunburning in the solarium is more dangerous as that obtained in sun (35%). Almost 51.3% of surveyed were against children or youths could be using a solarium. Only 25% of responders knew the proper type of solar lamp. UVA and UVB rays are causing sunburning in the solarium knew 26.3% of students. In all, 26.3% of surveyed reported that skin cancer is the negative effect of taning. Tanorexia, properly defined 18.3% of responders. The main source of knowledge on the solarium was television — (23.4%). Conclusions. All midwifery students attended solarium in spite of solarium taning is more dangerous than sunburning. Most of the surveyed were against children or youths could be using the solarium. The staff of the solarium informed on solarium rules using, sunbeds were cleaned, solaria had one-off towels, protective googles, and cosmetics. Wszystkie studentki uczęszczały do solarium, z reguły kilka razy w roku (47,5%). Pierwsza wizyta najczęściej była ich samodzielną decyzją (67,5%). W solarium korzystały głównie z łóżek samoopalających (57,5%). Pracownicy solarium w opinii badanych są sumienni i informują respondentów o zasadach korzystania z solarium. Wszystkie studentki twierdziły, że personel dokonywał dezynfekcji łóżka do opalania; 91,3% mogło w solarium skorzystać z ręczników jednorazowego użytku, 66,3% z kosmetyków do demakijażu i 92,5% — użyć okularów ochronnych. Pojęcia „fototyp skóry” nie znało 77,5% respondentek, a liczby podstawowych fototypów skóry — 85%. Fototyp skóry ma wpływ na długość pierwszej wizyty w solarium według 48,6% studentek. W opinii 51,3% pierwsza wizyta w solarium powinna wynosić do 5 minut. W solarium nie można się opalać codziennie według 92,5% osób. Zasady dotyczące przedłużania kolejnych wizyt w solarium znało 57,5% z nich. Większość studentek 66,3% twierdziła, że opalanie w solarium jest niebezpieczne i groźniejsze niż opalanie na słońcu (35%). Nie było przeciwnych 51,3% osób, aby dzieci i młodzież korzystały z solarium. Właściwy czas pracy lampy w solarium znało 25%, a o tym, że proces opalania w solarium jest związany z naświetleniem skóry promieniowaniem UVA i UVB, wiedziało 26,3% z nich. Wszystkie badane studentki położnictwa korzystały z solarium, mimo iż w większości uważały, że opalanie w solarium jest niebezpieczne i groźniejsze niż na słońcu. Większość respondentek nie było przeciwnych, aby dzieci i młodzież korzystały z solarium. W opinii badanych pracownicy solarium są sumienni i informują o zasadach korzystania z solarium, a solaria w większości są dezynfekowane i wyposażone w ręczniki, okulary i środki do demakijażu. Wiedza respondentek na temat zasad korzystania z solarium i kąpieli słonecznych jest bardzo zróżnicowana, ale niedostateczna
