Celiac disease (CD) is an autoimmune response induced by gliadin and glutelin derivatives in genetically predisposed individuals. There is currently an increase in the frequency of CD diagnosis in most highly developed countries. Because of the course of the disease associated with chronic inflammation within the wall of the small intestine, it is assumed the idea that celiac disease predisposes to the development of cancer. Until now several studies was performed to evaluate the risk of developing malignant disease among patients with celiac disease.
