This case study raises clinical and ethical implications related to disclosure of HIV status of a person when visiting a health care professional, such as a dentist. The goal is to help understand the dilemma experienced by people living with HIV when disclosing their HIV status, and so raise awareness of the discrimination that they can experience in healthcare settings, with a view implementing appropriate practices to prevent infection while ensure respect for patients regardless of HIV status
