On Being Christ to Witnesses

This thesis seeks to encourage healthy, appropriate, and loving communication between Christians and Jehovah’s Witnesses through adding knowledge and understanding. On occasions when Christians allow Jehovah’s Witnesses into their homes, there is often confusion, hostility, panic, and attack on the Christian’s part with a Christ-like attitude not even being an afterthought. To accomplish this goal, this thesis gives an overview of Jehovah’s Witness theology and practices and how Witnesses have evolved after a century of existence. The thesis then compares Jehovah’s Witness theology with a survey of orthodox Christian beliefs in order to determine whether Jehovah’s Witness theology can be said to be Christian. Finally, the thesis seeks to equip the Christian with tools and resources for conducting conversations with Jehovah’s Witnesses
