Developing a Special Teaching Internship Program in U.S.A Part-2

A new project for students taking the teacher license course was launched from in 2015. It is the “Teaching Special Teaching Internship in America”. his program has already been introduced in a previous journal paper. In April, 2016, the first student to complete this program returned to Japan and arted to prepare for her practice teaching in Japan. In this paper, the author describes how this program has affected the student taking the Japanese nior/high school license course offered by the university and her practice teaching outside the campus. Through this experience, we had high expectations that the student would master teaching skills based on an immersion teaching system. It was evident that the student mastered certain teaching skills for English ses and teaching methods for the International Understanding classes. After practicing how to use these skills and methods in preparatory classes for tice teaching (on university campus in Japan), the student was able to demonstrate them as a student teacher during her actual practice teaching period.departmental bulletin pape
