The purpose of the study was to establish smooth curves that could translate the behavior of motor performance characteristics, in relation to chronological age and gender, in children and adolescents from the city of Londrina - Paraná - Brazil. A sample of 4289 subjects from both sexes with ages ranging from 7 to 17 years-old, selected at random, was used in the study. The characteristics of motor performance were determined by sit-and-reach test, standing long jump test, modified pull-up test, bent-knee sit-up test, SO meter-run test and 9/12 minutes run/walk tests. The smooth curves were obtained by polynominal models, privileging the obtcntion of the minor residue. With these results obtained it was possible to conclude that in both sex...
