Canto e espetáculo em Ifigênia em Áulis de Eurípides: prólogo e párodo (1–302)

The aim of the present paper is to present some reflexions on the prologue and the parados of Euripides’ Iphigenia at Aulis (vv. 1-302).Although we present briefly the problemns of the transmission of the text of the prologue (dialogues between Agamemon and the servant), and of the parodos with the entrance of the chorus of newly married women from Calcis, we want to highlight the contrast and dramatic tension brought by these scenes to the spectacle to be seen by the audience. So, right in this beginning of the play, it is stablished the oposition between the young Iphigeneia, Agamemnon’s virgin eldest daughter, who will be sacrificed, and the married women that arrive from Calcis to “admire the spectacle” with the presence of the heroes, “demigods” in Aulis. Thereby, Euripides creates the ideal emotional atmosphere to the spectacle that will frame the heroic sacrifice of the young Iphigeneia.O objetivo do presente trabalho é apresentar minhas reflexões sobre o prólogo e párodo de Ifigênia em Áulis de Eurípides (1-302). Embora apresentemos brevemente os problemas de transmissão do texto do prólogo (diálogos entre Agamêmnon e o servo), e do párodo com a entrada em cena do coro de mulheres recém casadas da Cálcida, queremos destacar o contraste e a tensão dramática que essas cenas trazem ao espetáculo a se desenvolver diante do público. Assim, logo nesse início da peça fica estabelecida a oposição entre a jovem Ifigênia, virgem filha primogênita de Agamêmnon, que será sacrificada, e as mulheres casadas que chegam da Cálcida para “admirar” o espetáculo com a presença dos heróis, “semideuses” em Áulis. Com isso, Eurípides cria a atmosfera emocional ideal para o espetáculo que emoldurará o sacrifício heróico da jovem Ifigênia
