RATIONALE FOR COST-EFFECTIVENESS OF TECHNOLOGY MANUFACTURE OF MACHINE PARTS

This paper estimates the cost-effectiveness of new technology application while processing machine parts. For this purpose, the dependence of determining the cost price of processing is obtained, in which cost items are analytically linked. It enabled us to give a new determination of optimal conditions of processing machine parts on the basis of its cost price. It is proved that the main way to reduce the cost price of processing is to use the high-speed processing by means of modern high-speed metal-cutting CNC machines. There is also a significant impact on the cost price of processing the resistance of a cutting tool due to the temperature factor of cutting. It is shown that the use of diamond or carbide tools with wear-resistant plasma coatings can significantly increase the cutting speed and productivity of processing, reduce processing costs and thus realize the potential of high-speed processing. It is analytically shown that, in general, the savings on wages for machine workers and consumption of cutting tool depend ambiguously on the basic parameters of processing (basic processing time, resistance and price of the cutting tool). Thereby it is offered to estimate the savings according to the difference between the minimum cost prices of the compared processing options, what simplifies essentially the explanation of optimal solutions. The findings of the research were used in a number of leading machine-building enterprises of Ukraine to improve the technological processing of machine parts on the basis of high-speed cutting
