La noción de potencialidad ontológica en la interpretación modal de la mecánica cuántica

In this article we attempt to discuss the notion of potentiality in the context of modal interpretations (MI) of quantum mechanics. For this purpose we shall analyze the meaning of the notion of quantum possibility in the orthodox formalism of quantum mechanics following the distinction between modal interpretations which start from metaphysical principles (MIMP) and modal interpretations which start from the mathematical formalism (MIMF). Within this context we discuss the importance of empiricist and realist positions, and propose to advance towards a position that we name metaphysical constructivism. Finally, we propose the introduction of the notion of ontological potentiality -based on the Aristotelian concept of rational potentiality- as a conceptual scheme which can allow us to provide a coherent account of the non-standard idea of possibility present within the MI.En este artículo, nos interesa discutir la pertinencia del concepto de potencialidad en el contexto de las interpretaciones modales (IM) de la mecánica cuántica. Para ello, analizaremos el significado de la noción de posibilidad cuántica en el formalismo ortodoxo de la teoría siguiendo la distinción entre interpretaciones modales que comienzan por principios metafísicos (IMPM) y aquellas interpretaciones modales que comienzan por el formalismo ortodoxo (IMFO). Discutimos, en este contexto, la pertinencia de las posiciones empiristas y realistas, y avanzamos en el desarrollo de una posición que denominamos constructivismo metafísico. Finalmente, proponemos introducir la noción de potencialidad ontológica - basada en el concepto aristotélico de potencialidad racional como un marco conceptual que nos permita dar cuenta de manera coherente de la idea no estándar de posibilidad que se encuentra presente en la IM
