Ecotourism and environmentalism: exploring the relationships

This article, within its limits, intends to explore the characteristics of groups which practice activities in nature, as well as the relations between these groups and nature, where values and faith are present, building the "new adventurers" who demonstrate specific manifestations of relationship and friendship. It was based in a research done between 2001 and 2003 where some points standed out like the feminism values, the involviment with the technology, the construction of subjectivity as well as the representations about nature.Este artigo, dentro de seus limites, tenta explorar as características dos grupos que praticam viagens à natureza e das relações estabelecidas com essa natureza, nas quais estão presentes crenças e valores que constituem os "novos aventureiros", com manifestações peculiares de companheirismo e amizade. O trabalho foi baseado nos dados obtidos por uma pesquisa realizada entre 2001 e 2003, por meio da qual alguns pontos se destacaram, como a presença dos valores femininos, o envolvimento com a tecnologia, a questão do apinhamento, a construção da subjetividade e das representações sobre a natureza
