Le système visuel présente, à la naissance, de nombreuses fonctions, dont le processus de maturation se fait en des temps divers. Dans ce travail nous montrons d'abord comment la psycophysique et l'électrophysiologie visuelles ont contribué à la mensuration et à l'étude du développement de trois fonctions visuelles: acuité visuelle, sensibilité au contraste et vision des couleurs.
