Violência doméstica e psicologia hospitalar: possibilidades de atuação diante da mãe que agride

This work analyzes the performance of hospital psychologists in situations of maltreatment committed by the mother against her child. It tries to maintain a position of analysis and confrontation that considers the multifactorial character of a violence situation and also of the one that exists in the mother/child relationship. To achieve this, a bibliographic research was carried out in the Scielo and Lilacs databases and in the Library of the Center of Philosophy and Human Sciences of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). In the research, we used as keywords: maltreatment against children, violence against children, domestic violence, intrafamily violence. Through the bibliography review, the article makes a historical framing of violence committed against children, presents definitions of maltreatment and its types - physical, psychological and sexual maltreatment and neglect -, and different explanation models for violence against children (Reproductive, Psychodynamic, Sociological, Socio-psychological and Ecological Models), as well as their diverse consequences to children's development in the physical and psychological levels. In addition, the work presents possibilities for the hospital's and the health professionals' performance, emphasizing interdisciplinary action and the focus on the family. Finally, it discusses the performance of hospital psychologists, mainly towards the mother, based on one brief contextualization of the socio-historical transformations undergone by the models of family and of the place that children and women had in this institution. The article points to the fact that this professional must offer shelter and favor the improvement in the mother/child relationship, promoting a real dialogue and affective exchanges and disfavoring abusive practices.Esse trabalho pretende analisar a atuação do psicólogo hospitalar diante de situações de maus-tratos cometidos pela mãe contra seu filho, procurando manter uma postura de análise e enfrentamento, que considere o caráter multifatorial tanto de uma situação de violência como da que existe na relação mãe/filho. Para isso foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica nas bases de dados Scielo e Lilacs e na Biblioteca do Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas da UFRJ, usando como palavras-chave: maus-tratos contra crianças, violência contra crianças, violência doméstica, violência intrafamiliar. O artigo parte do lugar ocupado por mulheres e crianças na família, apresenta um enquadramento histórico da violência cometida contra crianças, definições e tipologia sobre maus-tratos (físico, psicológico e sexual e negligência), e os diferentes modelos explicativos para a violência contra crianças (Modelos Reprodutivo, Psicodinâmico, Sociológico, Sócio-psicológico e Ecológico) e suas diversas consequências para o desenvolvimento infantil nos níveis físico e psicológico. Apresentam-se possibilidades de atuação da instituição hospitalar e do profissional de saúde diante dessas situações, enfatizando-se a atuação interdisciplinar e o enfoque familiar e, por fim, discute-se a atuação do psicólogo hospitalar, principalmente junto à mãe, a partir de uma breve contextualização das transformações sócio-históricas dos modelos de família e do lugar ocupado por crianças e mulheres nessa instituição, apontando para o fato de que esse profissional deve oferecer acolhimento e favorecer a melhora da relação mãe/filho, promovendo um diálogo real e trocas afetivas e desfavorecer e desvalorizar práticas abusivas
