This paper aimed to analyze the significance of teaching the Nursing Process (NP) for faculty, through the Representational Theory of Significance. Ten professors from Guanajuato University participated in the investigation. Data were collected through semi-structured interview and questionnaire. The analysis was done from the perspective of the mentioned theory. All faculty members know, teach and apply the NP. They also refer to the importance of its teaching and practice by professionals.
