This study aimed to identify and analyze what factors favor the participation of aged inpatients' caregivers in care during the hospitalization period, according to relatives and nursing group members responsible for care delivery. Thirty aged inpatients' relatives and 30 nursing group members were interviewed at a hospital in the interior of São Paulo state.
