The relationships between subjective well-being and social comparison in job search activities were investigated. Previous studies have suggested that comparison with similar others may influence one\u27s subjective well-being. Female undergraduates (n=89) participated in a longitudinal study from December 2004 to July 2005. Results indicated that there was a lower frequency of activities by participant themselves in comparison to the inferred frequencies of activities by similar others. The differences in proactive activities of undergraduates became smaller with time, whereas the differences in other activities remained constant.
