This article examines 19th century records of the Dulce Nombre de Jesús parish in Humacao. It traces a demographic profile to show the correlation between a society whose main economic activity is the production of sugar cane and a high population index.Estos son los estudios de los registros de la parroquia Dulce Nombre de Jesús de Humacao durante el siglo XIX.
