Ciencia, progreso y escepticismo en Momentos, de José A. Lanauze Rolón.

This article intends to rescue the literary work of a Puerto Rican poet José A. Lanauze Rolón. Also, it analyzes the criticism of nineteenth century nihilism, and the search of a new religion that fuses the faith in nature, and the progress of science. This article also examines the skepticism of progress in the poetry of Lanauze’s book Momentos (Moments), yet it also considers the faith in science, particularly the final essay included in the book, "Essay on the New Faith or the Modern Spirit".Esta investigación pretende rescatar la obra literaria del poeta puertorriqueño José A. Lanauze Rolón. Analiza la crítica al nihilismo del siglo XIX y la búsqueda de una nueva religión que mezcla la fe en la naturaleza y el progreso de la ciencia. El análisis está basado en el escepticismo frente al progreso en la poesía del libro de Lanauze, titulado Momentos pero, por otro lado, trata la fe en la ciencia en el ensayo final incluido en el libro, titulado "Ensayo sobre la nueva fe o el espíritu moderno"
