Los llamados empresarios cubanos y la transición en la isla

One of the elements that currently characterizes Cuba at present is the change in the economic scenario that, among other consequences, has allowed the emergence of a new type of entrepreneur. This arises in the context of an economy that has been permeated by the characteristics and demands of a highly competitive global market. These characteristics must not be disregarded, given the aspiration to achieve a stable and beneficial reintegration into the international economic system. This work explores three areas of interest: the new entrepreneurs’ perception of the economic crisis and business activity; their opinion about economic changes which should be instituted on the island (mainly in the business sphere); and their perception of the role of the entrepreneur in society.Uno de los elementos que caracteriza la Cuba actual es el cambio en el escenario económico que ha permitido, entre otras consecuencias, la emergencia de un nuevo tipo de empresario. Éste surge en el contexto de una economía que se ha ido permeando de las características y exigencias de un mercado mundial altamente competitivo; aspectos de los que no podrá prescindir si su aspiración es lograr una reinserción estable y beneficiosa en el sistema económico internacional. Este trabajo pretende explorar tres áreas de interés: la percepción del nuevo empresario sobre la crisis económica y la actividad empresarial; su opinión sobre los cambios económicos que hay que introducir en la isla principalmente en la esfera empresarial -y su percepción sobre el papel del empresario en la sociedad
