The article focuses on the challenges facing the asylum seekers and the role of states and asylum advocates in expanding their obligations towards asylum seekers based on the norms of customary international law. It discusses the basic refugee law concepts, evolutionary interpretation of treaties and the need of an appropriate solution to the problems facing the asylum seekers.
