Identidad de consumo, motivos y creencias en jóvenes fumadores y no fumadores colombianos

The aim of this comparative descriptive study was to describe the differences in consumer identity, motivation-temptation and beliefs about drinking among young smokers and nonsmokers, in a group of 250 young people between 18 and 35 years old from 4 cities main Colombia. To evaluate the psychological aspects Motivation Questionnaire Temptations, Beliefs Questionnaire Cigarette Consumption, the Consumer Identity Questionnaire and the Questionnaire of Smoking C4 classification were used. The results indicate that smokers have expectations about drinking, motivation and identity of higher consumption of the three groups, ex-smokers despite prolonged abstinence for more than two years still have a moderate level of identity and temptations to consume motivation indicating that there is still a certain level of risk of relapse in consumption.El objetivo de este estudio descriptivo comparativo es reconocer las diferencias existentes en identidad de consumo, motivación-tentación y creencias acerca del consumo entre jóvenes fumadores y no fumadores, 250 en total, entre los 18 y 35 años de edad, provenientes de cuatro ciudades principales de Colombia. Para evaluar los aspectos psicológicos se utilizaron los cuestionarios: motivación tentaciones, creencias del consumo de cigarrillo, identidad del consumo, y el de clasificación de fumadores C4. Los resultados indican que los fumadores tienen las expectativas acerca del consumo, la motivación y la identidad más altas de los tres grupos; los ex fumadores a pesar de haber prolongado su abstinencia por más de dos años, aún conservan un nivel moderado de identidad y motivación, tentaciones de consumir que indican que todavía existe un cierto nivel de riesgo de recaer
