Hubungan Antara Iklim Sekolah Dengan Motivasi kerja Di Kalangan Guru Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Di Kota Bharu, Kelantan

The purpose of this study was to determine that (a) school climate as a whole is significantly related to teachers work motivation as perceived by the teachers in the National Type Primary Schools in the District of Kota Bharu; (b) all the dimensions in the school climate are significantly related to the teachers work motivation; (c) there are some dimensions in the school climate which are more dominantly related to the work motivation. The instruments used in this study were based on the questionaires developed by Schnake (1983) dan also Saleh and Hosek (1976). The respondents for this study were 120 teachers comprising 20 males and 100 females. The data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. In general, 92.5% of the respondent had high work motivation and all the respondents perceived their schools as having fairly condusive and condusive school climate. The major findings of this study were (a) as a whole, the school climate was fairly correlated to the teachers work motivation (r = 0.504, p = 0.000); (b) all the dimensions of the school climate were significantly correlated to the teachers work motivation; (c) factors such as recognition, achievement and job characteristics were the most dominant among the various dimensions in the relation with the teachers work motivation
