Restauración de pinturas murales en la Casa de la diversidad cultural camagüeyana

It is described, here, the restoration process of a mural, that exists in one of the bathrooms of the property that occupies, today, the "House of the Cultural Diversity of Camagüey". At the beginning, the walls presented a severely damaged state, on account of constructive problems, and the lack of conservation works. The support and the rest of the strata, were deteriorated considerably.   A process of analysis was carried out, with the purpose of identifying some components, alterations of these components and their possible causes. The interpretation of the results allowed a restoration of the paintings and the rescue of its material integrity and aesthetics.  Se describe la restauración de pinturas murales existentes en uno de los cuartos de baño del inmueble que ocupa actualmente la Casa de la Diversidad Cultural Camagüeyana, cuyas paredes presentaban avanzado deterioro causado, fundamentalmente, por problemas constructivos y por prolongado descuido de las normas de conservación, lo que provocó daños en el soporte y el resto de los estratos. Se realizaron análisis requeridos para identificar algunos componentes, las alteraciones presentes en los mismos y sus posibles causas. La interpretación de los resultados permitió una restauración de las pinturas que rescata su integridad material y estética
