Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is characterized by deficiencies in insulin action and secretion, and difficulties in regulating hepatic glucose production, which may lead to significant complications. Our aim was verify if DM carriers that are recipients of communication actions have a better adherence to treatment, and, consequently, a better control of the disease.
