The possibility of studying the Earth free oscillationswith a laser interferometer is considered. In particular the problem ofdetection of gravitational waves is analysed in detail. This problem seemsto be a very promising matter owing to the fact that with a two-mode He-Nolaser one may resolve changes in length down to 10~u cm.
