Home Management House Scrapbook, Fall 1943 - Spring 1944.

Scrapbook documenting the activities of the women living in the Home Management House at Texas Technological College from the fall of 1943 to the spring of 1944. Included are handwritten notes, the names of the students living in the house, a drawing of their sleeping quarters, photographs, news clippings, and memorabilia. The young ladies living in the management house learned skills such as budgeting, home management skills, and cooking. Adults resided with the students and caring for a young child was a part of the program as well. The babies pictured in this scrapbook are Elayne Montgomery and Barbara [no last name given]. Condition wise the scrapbook's exterior string is frayed, pages are torn from the binding and are brittle, and the back cover has come loose
