This paper, concerning music education at elementary school, examines teaching method from the viewpoint of evaluation of students. If aims of music education at elementary schools are not only to teach technicalities of music but to give children the \u27fortitude to live\u27 and to nurture the development of humanity, the evaluation of students should include teaching, and classes must be constructed based on such evaluation, so as to enable children to feel success, achievement and contribution in their own role. To create such feelings, the suggestion is made to include 5 points, 1) put importance on communication with children, 2) accommodate children\u27s needs, 3) employ music games, 4) increase creative activities, and 5) promote students\u27 social exchange with the local community through music
