This is an image of a large rock fireplace/chimney, the remnants of an Oil Boom era (1920's) dwelling on the Confederate Reunion Grounds. The chimney once was a part of the Elliot-Pendleton House (later named for two families that once lived in the home). The house was demolished in the 1960s. On the back of the photo reads, "Fireplace (of old 2 story cottage) standing between Heritage House and Yell Cabin - C.R.G. - 1979. Typical of fireplaces on grounds of C.R.G. - there are 3 more standing on C.R.G. - 1983." Signed Tom C. [Chatham]
