The Colombian Constitutional Court is charge of reviewing the integrity and supremacy of the constitution through two institutional powers: to review laws and constitutional reform acts and to review the judgment related to the constitutional actions (tutelage of rights). Traditionally, the scholars define the first institutional power like an abstract judicial review and the second like a concrete judicial review. This definition is wrong if the relevant criteria are the normative nature in the abstract review and the existence of a case in the concrete review.
