Humedales artificiales de flujo vertical para mejorar la calidad del agua del río Bogotá

This research consisted of evaluating the capacity of organic and inorganic compound reduction in an experimental constructed wetland of vertical flow fed with water on the Bogota river taken to the height from the university campus "Río Grande" in Cajica to determine the viability of using this type of technology in control of the water pollution. The prototype was designed and constructed with base in the recommendations of authors like Arias (2003) and Cooper (1990). The results that were obtained allowed to determine COD^ 20-5 reductions = 37%, BOD = 10%, CT = 49%, ST = 16%, SST = 27%, NO2 = 83%, NO3 = 30% From the previous statement we can conclude that on scale laboratory the artificial wetland of vertical flow improves the water quality of Bogota river next to "Río Grande" in Cajica.El propósito de esta investigación consistió en evaluar la capacidad de reducción de compuestos orgánicos e inorgánicos en un humedal artificial de flujo vertical a escala laboratorio alimentado con agua del río Bogotá tomada a la altura del campus universitario “Río Grande” en Cajica para determinar la viabilidad de emplear este tipo de tecnología en control de la contaminación hídrica. El prototipo se diseño y construyo con base en las recomendaciones de autores como Arias (2003) y Cooper (1990) . Los resultados que se obtuvieron permitieron determinar reducciones de DBO^20 5 = 37%, DQO = 10%, CT = 49%, ST = 16%, SST = 27% , NO2 = 83%, NO3 = 30% De lo anterior se concluye que a escala laboratorio el humedal artificial de flujo vertical mejora la calidad del agua del río Bogotá a la altura del campus “Río Grande” en Cajica
