This research consisted of evaluating the capacity of organic and inorganic compound reduction in an experimental constructed wetland of vertical flow fed with water on the Bogota river taken to the height from the university campus "Río Grande" in Cajica to determine the viability of using this type of technology in control of the water pollution. The prototype was designed and constructed with base in the recommendations of authors like Arias (2003) and Cooper (1990).
