FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERPENGARUH TERHADAP KEPUTUSAN MEMILIH PROGRAM STUDI

This study aims to determine the factors that influence students in choosing courses that are useful for universities and study programs in making decisions for the development of the institution in the face of increasingly fierce competition in attracting new students research using factor analysis. The samples in this study were 120 respondents using purposive sampling method. Results showed that the factors that influence the decision of selecting a course consists of 18 variables which are formed into 5 different factors. These five factors are: factor of unity (physical factors) consist of a variable course facilities, environmental studies program, and the library building. The second factor, consisting of variable availability of scholarships, faculty, friends, success of alumni, get a job and a positive issue. The third factor (factor cost of tuition) consists of variable tuition fees, payment terms, families income and the elderly. The fourth factor (factor perception) consist of a variable curriculum and syllabus, as well as image. The fifth factor (promotion), consisting of the accreditation status variables and cuts the cost of education
