ANALYSIS OF HOUSEHOLD CONSUMPTION OF COCONUT SUGAR FARMERS IN SUMEDO VILLAGE, PEKUNCEN DISTRICT, BANYUMAS REGENCY

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that built the consumption pattern of households of coconut sugar farmer in Semedo Village, Pekuncen Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency. Those factors were household income, marketing patterns, the number of family, and education level.This study used primary data by survey method that was collected from respondents. They were households of coconut sugar farmer in Semedo Village. The analysis method used in this study were cross tabulation, the criteria of the contribution of farm earnings, marketing margin analysis and farmer share, APC criteria, and welfare criteria. The result shows that household income and education levels have a positive effect on household consumption. The contribution of farm earnings to household income is relatively significant. Based on the marketing margin analysis and farmer's share, the best of marketing pattern was pattern II. Based on APC criteria, farm earnings could satisfy the needs of their household consumption patterns. Last but not least, farmers were in the middle level condition, neither poor nor prosperous
